What signature options are available?

You can type your name and pick a handwriting-style font, draw your signature freehand on a canvas, or upload a PNG image of your existing signature. All three are embedded directly into the PDF.

Can I place my signature on more than one page?

Yes. After creating your signature you can choose to stamp it on additional pages using the "Also stamp initials on other pages" option in the placement screen.

Is an electronic signature from Riqa legally binding?

Accepted Answer

Electronic signatures are recognised as legally valid in most jurisdictions, including under the US ESIGN Act and EU eIDAS regulation, for everyday agreements and documents. Riqa embeds the signer's name and a server-recorded timestamp into the PDF as an audit record. That said, some formal or regulated contexts — court filings, notarised documents, certain financial instruments — may specifically require a certified digital signature backed by a certificate authority. Riqa does not provide that. If you are unsure, check with a legal adviser for your specific situation.

What audit evidence is embedded in the signed PDF?

Accepted Answer

Riqa writes the signer's name you provide, the date and time of signing (recorded on the server, not the browser), and the signature method (typed, drawn, or uploaded) into the PDF's document metadata. This information travels with the file and can be inspected by anyone using a PDF viewer that shows document properties.

What if my PDF is password-protected?

You will need to decrypt it first using Riqa's Unlock PDF tool before signing.

How many credits does signing cost?

Accepted Answer

Signing costs 3 credits regardless of how many pages you place the signature on.
